NOW HIRING - Regional Aviation Manager - San Antonio, TX

The Regional Aviation Manager (RAM) will be responsible for supervising all aspects of fixed wing flight operations in their designated region and supporting other regions or global projects as assigned. This position reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is a direct liaison to the Director of Operations regarding the GOM and FAA matters. The RAM will be responsible to the Senior Leadership Team as necessary regarding base initiatives, special projects, and requests for information.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage fixed wing crew members in assigned areas.
  • Ensure all flight operations are conducted safely and in compliance with FARs, the GOM, and AirMed International policies.
  • Provide supervision to crew members concerning regulatory issues.
  • Be responsible for correcting compliance and safety issues when directed by the Director of Operations, or Chief Pilot.
  • Coordinate crew training events concerning regulatory and company required initial and recurrent training in conjunction with the AirMed International Aviation Training Manager, Chief Pilot, and Director of Operations.
  • Serve on the rotational schedule of 119 management Operational Control authorizations.
  • Provides Chief Pilot with timely and accurate reports of the status of pilot training and compliance.
  • Work in collaboration with the Chief Pilot in Flight Department personnel matters including, but not limited to, pilot recruitment, hiring, onboarding, management, disciplinary, and corrective actions.
  • Work with AirMed International leadership on matters concerning employee development and engagement.
  • Maintain currency and qualification in at least one of the type of aircraft operated by AirMed International.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Business Aviation Administration or Aviation Management preferred.
  • Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Valid US Passport
  • At least (5) years experience in management which includes supervisor, budgetary and safety oversight.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong data entry and record management skills
  • Must be located within 1 hour of an AirMed International Base of Operation

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to think clearly, speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person.
  • Must have good interpersonal and verbal skills to interface with vendors and employees.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stand, sit, crouch unassisted for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds
  • Must be able to work day and night shift
  • Must be able to transport themselves to and from work
  • Travel required for training events or maintenance assignment
  • Overnights may occur in the commission of the mission

Salary Range: $160,000
